A Fleeting Boutique

The Fleet Store wares at the State Library Queensland
I paid a visit today to The Fleet Store, an annual pop-up created and managed by fashion and business students from the Queensland University of Technology.

It's always such a great way for local emerging designers to showcase their wares, and we are already seeing some great labels making headway in Australia and internationally.

Gail Sorronda is one label that comes to mind, with QUT grad Gail Reid having designed for Target, with a concept store on James St in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley.

Ethical label Nico Underwear is also part of the pop-up, and most garments on sale were locally handmade with some using recycled or vintage fabric.

If you're local, head along tomorrow for the last day of The Fleet Store!

State Library Queensland, South Bank Cultural Precinct.
10am - 9pm.
